Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us stop.

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This policy explains how FreshYard LA ("FreshYard", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through freshyardla.com and in the course of providing our services. It applies to visitors to the site and to our customers.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you reserve a route or join the expansion waitlist, we collect your name, email, mobile number, service address, ZIP code, selected service, number of dogs and relevant plan choices. When service begins we may also collect access instructions such as a gate code.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our analytics and advertising providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, the page that referred you, and advertising identifiers such as a Google click identifier (gclid) or UTM campaign tags attached to the link you arrived on.

Payment information. Route deposits and later service payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout and do not pass through or remain on our own servers. We retain transaction identifiers, amount, status and the customer details needed to reconcile the reservation.

2. How we use it

  • To contact you about your reservation or your service, primarily by text message.
  • To schedule, route and perform the service, including sending you the completion photo after each visit.
  • To collect and refund a route deposit and to take payment once service has started.
  • To understand which advertising and which pages actually produce customers, so we do not waste money on the ones that do not.
  • To meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.

3. Text messages

By submitting the form you agree that we may send you text messages and call you at the number provided, including messages sent with an automated system, about your reservation and your service. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing anything from us. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also call or text us at (424) 216-8243 to be removed. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop essential service messages such as visit confirmations while you are an active customer.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking. It lets us see which advertisements produce paid reservations. Free waitlist submissions are not counted as advertising conversions. This is performance measurement — we do not use it to build a profile of you as an individual.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on, and manage advertising personalisation in your Google Ad Settings. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies, though parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser as a valid request to opt out of any sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to help us operate, and only for that purpose. These currently include our website and form hosting provider, messaging provider, Stripe as our payment processor, and our analytics and advertising providers. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect someone's safety or our rights.

6. How long we keep it

Reservation and lead information is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so that we can honour a founding rate or reach you when we expand into your ZIP code. Customer service and billing records are kept as long as required for tax and legal purposes, typically seven years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.

7. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
  • Request a copy of that information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, call or text (424) 216-8243 or email hello@freshyardla.com. We will verify your identity by confirming details we already hold — usually the mobile number on your account — before acting on the request, and will respond within 45 days. You may use an authorised agent; we will ask for proof of their authority.

8. Children

Our services are sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted transmission of form submissions and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and affects customers, we will tell you by text or email.
